Hi, I’m the founder of Let’s Talk About It… Teacher Edition.

By profession, I’m a special education paraprofessional working in an Emotional Behavior Disorder classroom. I’ve spent the past four years supporting students with significant behavioral and emotional needs. Before stepping into the school system, I worked in childcare for over 20 years — so caring for children and supporting families has always been part of my life.

In the classroom, I’ve experienced the realities that many educators quietly carry. I’ve been bitten, punched, kicked, bruised, and suffered two concussions. I’ve been cussed at and yelled at more times than I can count. I’ve gone home physically sore, emotionally drained, and wondering how long educators are expected to absorb so much without stronger support systems in place.

But that’s only part of who I am.

I’m also a wife.
A mother.
A daughter.
A sister.

I love hunting, camping, and spending time outdoors. I enjoy crafting and creating things with my hands. I value family time, laughter, and the simple moments that recharge my heart after long school days.

Like many educators, I balance a demanding job with a full personal life. And just like you, I’m doing my best to show up in all of those roles every day.

I created Let’s Talk About It… Teacher Edition because I know I’m not the only one who has felt exhausted, unheard, or isolated in this profession. I believe we can love our students deeply while still acknowledging the challenges within the system. I believe educators deserve safety, respect, and support. And I believe honest conversation is the first step toward meaningful change.

This platform isn’t about negativity. It’s about truth. It’s about connection. It’s about reminding educators that they are not alone.

If you’re here, chances are you care deeply about what you do — even on the hardest days.

I see you.
And I’m glad you’re here.
